mageworld.co.uk is now a web design site but the legacy poetry, literature, insanity and philosophy site is still active and stands as an example of my recreational web design.
Among a thousand and one other things, I'm currently working on an SVG animation tutorial which will aim to show beginers how to use this impressive mark-up language to create web graphics. There is also a basic tutorial on svg shapes. I will upload further pages on the filters I've used and explain how to embed static images in SVG at some stage also.
The idea of this tutorial is that as I use these tools I will upload files which enable visitors to this site to learn them with me.
SVG stands for scalable vector graphics, it's a web standard language which has been integrated into the firefox 1.5 up, there's also an SVG plugin from adobe which is available for mozilla, opera, earlier versions of firefox and microsoft internet explorer.
I will also, in time, upload some resources for CSS (cascading style sheets) and JavaScript, with particular refence to graphics and accesibility.
