i have loved only you

i felt your heart beating with my own
the first time you came near

(knew that i should not love you)

i tripped upon your soul
while you lay there dreaming

(knew that i could love you)

i fell into my darkside
and you climbed my walls

(knew that i had always loved you)

i awoke to life as the warmth
of your breath drifted across my body

(knew that i do love you)

i tasted the sensuous curve of your lips
and folded my hand into yours

(knew that i would always love you)
